Sat Nav and complex roads

Sat <>Navs also have a problem that they try to give the user all the information required but on some of the more complicated roads this becomes a problem because although they are good at giving the user the information they are very limited with what information they can give.
Meaning if you are aprocing a double roundabout the sat nav would say go straight on at the first roundabout and then the second exit at the next roundabout. This is very informative but it the maximum that the system can string together with two comments, if you then needed to take the next right you have to wait till you are at the second roundabout or even off the double roundabout before you are given this information.

But in a more complicated road network there are a lot more limitations that mean that the system is not able to give the user much information. This has become apparent if you drive in Swindon becouse of the nicknamed "magic roundabout" which consits of 5 seperate roundabouts all next to each over.

There are a lot of examples like this where the sat nav knows the directions but is then limited to what it can display to you, This is the main reason for the problems with the roundabout in Swindon not that it is hard to navigate but people get confused when following a sat nav round it.
